Linn, Just wanted to let you know, I've been contacted by 3 friends that I spent some very quality time at Bentwaters and I also purchased the Bentwaters Dedication video and LOVE the footage from the 40's through 60's!

On 1 August 2001 Buddy Schunk posted a request to find Mick Ybarra, a controller at RAF Bentwaters with him 1982-85 period. On 19 April 2002, I received this email from Buddy:
"Dear Linn,
I have located Mick Ybarra. Wanted to let you know so you can update the web site. He is in California and it has been great reaching him and catching up on the last 18 years.
Thanks again."

7 January 2002 - Anonymously, this is a great piece of news from 'a helper' who says this is "results of our emails generated by posting on your site."
S....,
Thank you so very much for this information. I really do appreciate your time and the 1st picture is definitely my Dad. I'm going to print them out for my mom and I'm sure she can help me out with the second one. I have e-mailed the 2 people that you passed on to me. This is so exciting-it is amazing what the internet can do.

Below are extracts from several 'success' emails from Larry Pegg

Hey LINN:
I was put in touch with another buddy last week by his son, the son had scoped out your site and got my name and e-address from there, he sent me a message, I called his DAD and we chatted for a couple of hours. The guys name is WILLIAM BALES, he was a STAFF/SGT at WOODBRIDGE

I received an e-mail a while back from a guy named DICK KNUPP, DICK was in the 78th at SG and moved to WOODBRIDGE ... we have chatted two or three times now yesterday he sent me names of two guys I worked with in the 78th, HARRY G. WRIGHT (PEACH'S) and LARRY RAHR (OLD LADY), PEACH'S and I talked on the phone last night for an hour or two.

I have been e-mailing several new (OLD BUSHMASTERS) from the 78th at WOODBRIDGE. I said two the other day, that now has become about four, MARK FERRARA, I talked to him on the phone last night and BO WAFFORD, I have talked to PEACH WRIGHT and ole BUSTER REED, BILLY BALES, DON FREYE, they are in turn sending names and address's of others. LINN you surely must know that your site is making all this possible, ole MARK is talking a true 78th BUSHMASTER REUNION of the guys up thru the departure of the F101.

Regards, Larry

Your site is a great instrument for contacting old acquaintances from the days of yesterday. I have been contacted or have contacted people who have registered on your site. Keep the site going...it's great for us who remember and love England, especially Suffolk.
