Found norm zeyen <haard2handle@yahoo.com>

Story: Another success story Linn.
I received an e-mail from Norm Zeyen a couple of weeks ago and a number to reach him at.
I called that night and we spent an enjoyable hour or two, catching up, cracking up and just remembering. We had not been in touch since 1978, in California, 5 years after the Bentwaters days. It was really good to hear from Norm and I encouraged him to post himself, so others can contact him too.

Thanks again Linn.
All your hard work running and maintaining this site have helped so many of us to reconnect.

Best Regards
Deb Duke

John P Kelley <jpkelley01(at)comcast.net>
Found Basil Goldy Lamb Jr. May 2009
Story:
I found Basil by a friend on Military.com but it was not good news.
It seems he passed away while living in Fla. He is buried in the Arlington Cemetery in Washington and ended up being a Master Sgt in the Air Force.
Still leaves me looking for my last room, Stanly Scott. He was Col. Eugene Strilands driver on RAF Bentwaters in 1961 and 1962.
I hope I find him before one of us two fly to the great beyond.

Found Charles 'Dobie' Dibias May 09

Story:
After being in contact with a former Bentwaters troop from the 60's I casually mentioned how I was looking for Chuck a.k.a.'Dobie' Dibias. He told me that another former SP he was in contact with had that info and supplied me with his Email (I purposely omitted his Email due to my, not his, concerns over privacy).
He is now living in So.Carolina after a long career in the medical technology field. He states he is now retired but is getting 'antsy' to do something. He was one of the 'seasoned old troops' when I got to Bentwaters in 67.
His fantastic personality and friendly demeanor, not to mention his helpful attitude, was, and is, to this day a warm remembrance from that time.
You can contact him thru me at my Email.

Found Gilbert (Gil) Spanos
April 2009
Story:
Gil was stationed at Bentwaters in 1951, 81st Comm Sqn and we became friends through other members of the Sqn who who used to visit my parents' home in Ipswich for some R & R.
Gil sent me a beautiful photo album from Okinawa, where he was stationed in 1955, but I never heard from him again.
Repeated requests for news obver several years, finally produced an E mail from Dave, who had looked Gil up somewhere and found an address in Arizona, with a phone number.
I called and spoke with Mrs Spanos, who informed me that Gil had passed away in 2001. I mailed her some pictures that I had of Gil, which he had sent me from Okinawa.
So, I finally found my buddy, but 8 years too late.
Bryan

I would be happy if you would publish the story, Linn. This "reunion" came about solely because of your good works in hosting the Twin Bases site.
