David, pictured more recently, has a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Davenport, Iowa.

Linn Barringer:
This is a typical English picture, of Tunstall, circa 1967. I've dated it 1967 from the registration plate
on the Morris 1100 car but I could not find the spot to take a
modern version.
David adds "The memory dims after 30 years but would guess I took the Tunstall picture from the B1069 [now the A1152] looking to the northeast."

Terry Friend saw the picture above and "recognised
the location straight away" and provided this 2002 version
of the same spot. It is on the B1069 - the A1152 stops at
the entrance to the tech. site. Great job, Terry!

I think David used a telephoto lens, which compresses
distance, so I've tinkered with Terry's picture to make it cover
as similar area as possible, and added annotations to orient the
two pictures. This picture puts the two shots alongside for comparison.

This is a 1970 Lotus Elan S4 fixed head coupe, which I purchased
new while stationed at RAF Woodbridge
Thought this looked like a picture book of England and Suffolk - daffodils at Hollesley. (1969)
