Ron Burrell sent this to Derrick Booth

Nissen hut HQ of the 81st Air Base Squadron and the Base Engineer's office, RAF Bentwaters.

This picture was copied out of the year book and shows the HQ of the 81st Air Base Squadron and the Base Engineer's office, RAF Bentwaters. It was located on the Technical Site, and the picture shows work order clerk, Airman Joe Tufts entering. On the extreme right is Tuft's two-seater Morris 8, next is my 1935 Morris 8 two-door saloon, while on left is Engineering officer Capt. Bisher's Morris Minor. The window to the left of the door gave Sgt.Koller his view of the world outside where he could watch everything going on and view every airman that was required to read the bulletin board each day.

Sgt. Koller's picture in Derrick Booth's memorial page is a view from the inside looking out (note my Morris 8).

Note: The HQ of the 81st Fighter Interceptor Wing was on Site One, by the flag pole.
