Major Thompson, centre person. He made Lt. Col and Later Colonel. After W/B he went to HQ. USAFE, in Germany. To his left is Col Tabor, Wing Comm., and to the right, I believe, is Major Brown. I think the latter is still in the local area. Col Dale Tabor made Brig. Gen and departed in 1984.

Maj. Thompson,
on the left, and Maj. Lubelczyk,
affectionately referred to as Lube
& Oil Check
581st Maintenance Supervisor.

Opposite the
gas station on the Domestic Site was a forecourt to the shoppette, it
had a low brick wall and a brick pedestal within. I got permission
from the senior officer of the day--I can't remember who, to remove it.
We felt that if I didn't take it it would just disappear.
