RAF Woodbridge by Linn Barringer
April 2000

These Nissen huts are just across the road from the Housing Office. They are just inside the perimeter fence which runs parallel to, and just beyond, the far hut. David Strieter adds "...the two huts in your recent Woodbridge pictures [across from the housing office] were the Officers club annex for Woodbridge. At that time there was an ungated entry [to the right of the huts] from the public road to the parking area.

These older-tech digital images are not good quality (and have worsened by enlarged) but I think you can still see the images better at this larger size.

The
entrance gates to RAF Woodbridge base.
The domestic area now has free public access.

The
"Woodbridge Filling Station", now disused and fenced
off.
Not a pretty sight (or site) but I thought you would remember
this.

The
sign reads"733 - US ARMY VETERINARY CLINIC RAF WOODBRIDGE".

Front
of the house that used to be called 1075A Norwich Drive.
It is now called no.37 Thorn Walk and is 'de-militarized'.

Entrance
to the High School on Woodbridge Base.
In 1997, unkempt and behind
the military security fence.
Don't ask...
Now demolished.
